Fantasy Football Edge

A football intelligence and fantasy decision-support platform.

In development

Overview

Fantasy Football Edge turns football data into decisions a manager can reason about: who to start, where a fixture run turns, and which of the week's options actually carries an edge.

The design follows one line: data, then insight, then understanding, then confidence, then a decision. Each step has to earn the next. A number on its own is not insight, and a recommendation a manager cannot interrogate is not something to act on.

Why it exists

Fantasy football has no shortage of data. What it lacks is context. Raw statistics are easy to find and hard to act on, and most tools answer "what happened" when the manager is asking "what should I do, and why".

The intended user is someone who enjoys the decision itself — who wants to understand the reasoning behind a pick well enough to disagree with it. The product is built for that person, not for someone looking to outsource the thinking.

Engineering approach

Analysis is built to be explainable. Where the platform surfaces a suggestion, the intent is that the reasoning behind it is visible, so the manager keeps the final call.

Football context is treated as part of the data rather than decoration: fixture difficulty, minutes, role within a side and form all shape how a number should be read.

It is deliberately not a gambling product. There are no betting integrations, no odds and no stake-based features, and none are planned.

Design priorities

What the project is being built to do well. These describe intent, not delivered features.

  • Explainable recommendations

Any suggestion should come with the reasoning that produced it, so the manager can weigh it rather than simply accept it.

  • Context over raw numbers

Fixtures, minutes and role shape what a statistic means. The analysis is built to carry that context rather than strip it out.

  • Decision support, not automation

The product is there to inform a decision the manager makes, not to make it for them.

  • Responsible fantasy play

No betting, no odds, no stakes. The product is about the game and the decisions inside it.

Current stage

In development, and not commercially available. Recommendation models, external integrations and any subscription tier are not live, and nothing described here should be read as a released feature.
